Q: You have used the word sacred several times. What do you mean when you say the word sacred?

A: When I use the word sacred what I am referring to is the concept of something greater than ourselves. Not greater in terms of above us or better than, but simply more than the mundane perception we commonly hold of ourselves and our world.

It is easy to take the meaning of sacred and cloak it in a socio-religious context. For some, this tends to limit access to the experience of sacredness in our lives. To me this is unfortunate as all things and experiences in life are sacred.
